Who We Are

At The Keys Etiquette Consulting, we believe that confidence is built through self-awareness, emotional and social intelligence, and the ability to connect meaningfully with others. While etiquette provides the framework, poise and refinement is revealed in how we communicate, respond, and make others feel.  We believe that social and emotional intelligence, paired with strong communication skills, are essential foundations for success in both professional and personal lives. Smooth, thoughtful interactions open doors, strengthen relationships, and create lasting opportunities.

Our clients include high school graduates preparing for the workforce and college, college students preparing to enter the workforce, emerging professionals seeking to advance their careers, entrepreneurs and business owners representing their brands, corporate professionals navigating leadership opportunities, and individuals who simply want to move through social and professional settings with greater confidence and ease.

 

Whether preparing for interviews, networking events, business engagements, formal occasions, or everyday interactions, we help individuals develop emotional and social intelligence, communication skills, and etiquette knowledge necessary to build meaningful relationships and create lasting positive impressions.

Nicki Stanley

Founder/Owner & Coach

Nicki's journey into coaching modern etiquette isn't your typical story.

​

Growing up, she would attend various social and cultural gathers and events with her mother. She was fascinated by the poise everyone exhibited when moving about, how everyone knew which silverware to use, and how they interacted with each other with ease. She didn't go to finishing school or cotillion, but instead taught herself. Nicki wanted to learn how etiquette rules evolved. Beginning with the Regency Period, she researched the societal norms from then until now. Combining research with her coaching and leadership experience, she developed a modern take on etiquette.

 

With careers defined by leadership, Nicki brings a rare blend of collegiate athletic coaching, hospitality, and event protocol and management to the world of etiquette. A former collegiate swimmer and accomplished head and assistant swim coach with more than 20 years of coaching experience, she spent a decade shaping student-athletes at institutions like Ohio Wesleyan University and the United States Military Academy at West Point. She quickly became known not only for her competitive improvement, but for cultivating individual and team confidence. Outside of the pool, Nicki helped student-athletes in life and career preparation helping them to develop leadership qualities that extended far beyond college.

Her professional background in luxury hospitality and event execution as an event coordinator for Cameron Mitchell Premier Events refined her understanding and knowledge of etiquette. As a certified etiquette consultant, Nicki specializes in preparing adults to navigate social and professional environments with confidence and polish. She teaches modern etiquette in a way that will educate you how to be authentic, build confidence, and other skills for daily use.

Nicki's leadership extends into service and community involvement. She's a member and volunteer of Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority and the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation. She is also a past board member the Junior League of Columbus and currently on the Nominations Committee. Nicki is also highly involved in the Columbus Alumnae Panhellenic Association, serving as president and helps to support scholarship initiatives advancing collegiate women's education and leadership. 

 

Grounded in tradition and history yet designed for modern success, her work empowers individuals to master the unspoken, soft skills needed to open doors- kindness, confidence, professionalism, social intelligence, and polished presence. Because success isn't achieved, it's presented.
